Delhi Government WFH 2 Days: Taking a big decision, Delhi Government has implemented work from home 2 days a week in government offices. Advisory has also been issued to the private sector. Also, many changes have been made like no vehicle day, virtual meeting and petrol reduction.

A major change has been seen in the administrative system of Delhi. While announcing on Thursday (May 14), Chief Minister of the capital Rekha Gupta said that now work from home will be implemented two days a week in all the government offices of Delhi Government. This decision has been taken after the recent appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the objective of which is said to be better management of resources along with economic stability. The Chief Minister made it clear that this step will not be limited to the government machinery only, but efforts will be made to connect the private sector as well.

Work from home advice for private companies also

The government has also issued an advisory to private companies that wherever possible, work from home should be implemented two days a week. Especially in those areas where work can be done online or through digital medium. The Labor Department has been entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring this system so that it can be followed properly.

Strictness on government expenses and vehicles also

CM Rekha Gupta said that the convoys of government officials and ministers have also been reduced. Along with this, it has been decided to reduce the fuel (petrol-diesel) supplied to government vehicles by 20 percent. Earlier the officers who used to get 200 to 250 liters of fuel will now be reduced. Apart from this, the government has also decided to celebrate “No Vehicle Day” one day a week.

Digital meetings promoted, 50% meetings will be virtual

The government has also taken steps towards making administrative work more digital. The Chief Minister said that now 50 percent of the government meetings will be held through virtual medium. Along with this, officers who get conveyance allowance will be given 10 percent additional incentive if they use public transport.

Plan to promote public transport

The Delhi government has also emphasized on increasing the use of public transport in the capital. The routes of the buses will be prepared in such a way that more and more people can use them. Especially on Monday, people will be motivated to use the metro, so that the pressure of road traffic can be reduced.

Appeal for virtual hearing in courts also

The Chief Minister also said that the government has appealed to the courts to hear more and more cases through virtual medium, so that time and resources can be saved.

Ban on big events for three months

The Delhi government has also decided that there will be a ban on large public events in the capital for the next three months. Also, a special travel plan will be prepared keeping tourism in mind, so that tourists do not face any inconvenience.
