At present, severe heat is wreaking havoc in many places in Odisha, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan. In such a situation, news of people dying due to heat has also come from all these states. At least 40 people have died due to severe heat in many states on Friday. Out of these, 10 in Odisha, 8 in Bihar, 4 in Jharkhand, 9 election workers in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh have also died due to heat.

According to the Meteorological Department, most areas in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, UP, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Jharkhand remained in the grip of severe heat wave on Friday as well. On Friday, Kanpur city was the hottest city in the entire country with a temperature of 48.2 degrees, while Sirsa in Haryana was the second hottest city with 47.8 degrees. At the same time, the highest temperature of 47 degrees was recorded in Ayanagar, Delhi.

If we talk about the monsoon spreading slowly across the country, then the southwest monsoon is passing through the north-east Bay of Bengal. During this time, the monsoon has knocked in Tripura, Meghalaya and Assam along with the Bay of Bengal. Along with this, the monsoon has reached most parts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Floods in Assam wreak havoc

The continuous rain in Assam has disrupted the normal life of the people. Till Thursday, around 42 thousand people were affected by the floods. On Friday, after the continuous rain, around three and a half lakh people are said to be affected. Most of the rivers in Assam are flowing above the danger mark.

Rain in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana

The Meteorological Department has said that people suffering from severe heat in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana will soon get relief. There are chances of storm and rain in these three states on Saturday and Sunday. The Meteorological Department has also said that due to rain, the temperature will decrease rapidly and there can be relief from heatwave for the next one week. At the same time, due to moist winds, a drop in temperature can be seen in Rajasthan as well. There are chances of rain in West Uttar Pradesh as well.
