Medical support will be available at the press of a button

  • This system has been prepared in view of the increasing concern of delayed help during emergencies in India. Through this, users can immediately connect to ISIC’s medical team and emergency support network in difficult situations by just pressing an SOS button.
  • If anyone experiences chest discomfort, panic attack, fall, difficulty in breathing or any sudden medical emergency, they can directly connect with the duty doctor of ISIC by pressing the SOS button. The doctors will give them immediate advice and provide speedy help.
  • The system is also capable of calling an ambulance, alerting emergency contacts and escalating the case if the user becomes unresponsive. Regular drills are also conducted to make the users habitual of using the SOS button in case of panic, so that they are prepared in case of real emergency.

This device was successful in trials

Before the official launch, the hospital also conducted a pre-trial with some families in nearby residential areas and schools. Its purpose was to test how practical, accurate and effective the device is in a real emergency.

This device can bring life back

  • Dr. Ashish Chandra, Chief Operating Officer, ISIC Multispeciality Hospital, said, “Healthcare today should no longer be limited to the hospital walls. Through this partnership with DrRing, we aim to create a connected healthcare ecosystem that focuses on preparedness, prevention and timely medical care. This initiative further strengthens ISIC’s focus on technology-driven preventive healthcare. “With features like tracking, personalized health trend monitoring, direct contact with doctors, geofencing support, WhatsApp integration and access to a large emergency network, the first few minutes are crucial in many emergencies, and through this initiative we want patients and their families to feel supported and medically guided when they need help.”
  • Dr. Shiv Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, DrRing, said, “DrRing was created to simplify emergency response and make immediate medical care more accessible in critical situations. People often panic and do not seek help quickly, making emergencies worse. Our partnership with ISIC further strengthens this vision through hospital-integrated preparedness and continuous support, especially for the elderly and those in need who live alone.”
  • A live demo of this SOS emergency response system was also shown in the launch event. It demonstrated how the platform enables rapid communication, emergency escalation and coordinated medical assistance during a real emergency. (ANI)
