SC described the entire selection process as tainted

The apex court on April 3 declared the appointment of 25,753 teachers and employees in government and aided schools in Bengal as invalid. The court described the entire selection process as ‘flawed and tainted’. The selection of these employees was selected in 2016 through a recruitment campaign of the State School Services Commission. At the same time, CM assured that she will make alternative arrangements for all eligible candidates within two months.

Addressing thousands of teachers, the Chief Minister said, ‘You can go back to your schools and start teaching voluntarily. You are in service right now because you have not been given any service letter yet. Our government is bound to ensure that no qualified candidate loses the job. We have plans to ensure this. We will not let them remain unemployed.
