Nida Khan, president and social worker of Ala Hazrat Helping Society of Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh, has described the Waqf Amendment Bill in the interest of Muslims. He said that this bill is necessary so that the occupation of Waqf properties can be stopped and the real entitlements can get their rights. He also launched a scathing attack on those who opposed this bill.
Nida Khan said that some people are spreading rumors that this bill will affect mosques, ancestral lands and religious places. Whereas the truth is that the purpose of this bill is to secure Waqf properties. Not to snatch them. He clearly said that Muslims do not need to be afraid of this bill. This is for their good. Nida said that the lands of Waqf have been illegally occupied on a large scale.
Maulana Tauqir Raza targeted
The lands of the cemeteries have been sold and in some places marriage lawns and commercial constructions have also been done. This properties were actually for the good of Majloom, poor and needy women, but some people took them for their own benefit. He also directly attacked Maulana Tauqir Raza Khan. Nida alleged that Tauqir Raza had signed the shops of Naumhala Mosque.
‘Luxurious householder protests’
He said that such people are opposing the Waqf Amendment Bill, because they are afraid that their reality will be revealed. Nida says that the same people are protesting, whose luxurious houses are built on Waqf’s land. Nida Khan also said that till now Muslim women have been kept away from Waqf properties. He never got his right. This is the reason why Muslim women are socially left behind.
What did Nida Khan appeal to Muslims?
The Waqf Amendment Bill will also open the way for women to share, which will promote women empowerment. Nida Khan appealed to the Muslims not to come under any misunderstanding and understand the bill properly. This law is in their interest and this will provide the right benefits of Waqf properties to the needy people of the society. He said that now the time has come that action should be taken against those who are misusing Waqf properties.
