The work of Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway has been completed about 80 percent. NHAI says that 20 percent of the remaining work will be completed soon. It is being told that vehicles will start running on the expressway by March.
The people of Kanpur and Lucknow are eagerly waiting for the start of this expressway. As soon as it starts, people will get rid of heavy jam. Also, the journey of 120 kilometers will be completed in only 45 minutes. NHAI also says that Lucknow-Kanpur elevated road will be started in April, while the target to complete this project is from June 2025.
20 percent work left
18 km elevated and 45 km of green fields are being added to Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway. Elevated work has been completed, while the work of 45 km of green field is 20 percent left. Soon, the National Highway Authority of India has spoken to the concerned construction agencies to complete it too. This expressway is being built at a cost of Rs 4700 crore. About 12 thousand people go to Lucknow daily from Kanpur. These people will benefit greatly as soon as it is made.
Expressway will be completely opened
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will go to the spot on 14 February to check the work of Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway. He will see the States reports of the 63 km long highway there. After the investigation is found to be correct, light vehicles from Kanpur to Lucknow can be run as a trial on the expressway. After the expressway is ready, it will be completely opened to all vehicles, which will also benefit tourism, business along with daily passengers.
