Many buildings destroyed in the attack, more than 80 injured
According to Ukrainian officials, at least 4 people have died in this major attack while more than 80 people are said to be injured. Many residential buildings, schools, shops and public structures were damaged after the attack. Fire broke out at many places, which the relief and rescue teams had to struggle for hours to extinguish. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said it was a very scary night for the city. The sound of explosions continued throughout the night and the rescue team was continuously trying to rescue people.

Zelensky made big allegations against Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that apart from Kiev, Russia also targeted the city of Bila Tserkva, which is located about 64 kilometers from the capital. He alleged that Russia has attacked water supply facilities to make life of common people more difficult before the summer. Zelensky demanded America and European countries to take more stringent measures against Russia. He says that the continuously increasing attacks show that Russia is in no mood to retreat.
Russia said retaliatory action
On the other hand, Russia claims that this attack was carried out in response to the attacks carried out inside Russia by Ukraine. According to Russian officials, they targeted Ukrainian military bases, airbases and important military centers. Russia also claimed that apart from Orashnik, advanced missiles like Iskander, Kinzhal and Zircon were used in this operation.

Orasonic missile used for the third time
This is the third time that Russia has used the Oresnik hypersonic missile since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war. Russian President Vladimir Putin has already said that it is very difficult to stop this missile because its speed is about 10 times more than the speed of sound. According to military experts, the Orasonic missile is capable of attacking thousands of kilometers away and is also designed to carry nuclear weapons. This is the reason why its use has raised concerns at the international level.
Metro station became a haven for people
During the attack, many citizens of Kiev hid in metro stations. People remained sitting there for hours. A local woman told that there were continuous sounds of explosions upstairs and everyone from children to the elderly were scared. As soon as the morning came, clouds of smoke were visible in many parts of the city. Windows of many buildings were broken and parts of some houses collapsed completely. Fire brigade and relief agencies remained busy removing debris and extinguishing the fire for a long time.
