As expected, Suriya’s Vishwanath And Sons took a bigger opening in the Telugu states than in Tamil Nadu. Despite the film being shot only in Tamil, the movie opened very well in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, reflecting the love Telugu audiences shower on films irrespective of language.
However, the advance bookings for Day 2 have picked up in Tamil Nadu, with the home market slightly ahead of the Telugu market. Given the financials involved, the movie needs to perform well in Tamil Nadu too.
Directed by Venky Atluri, the movie stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead. Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Sunil Reddy, and Nassar played key roles. Naga Vamsi backed this family drama, while GV Prakash Kumar composed the tunes.
