VinFast has raised prices on both the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in India with immediate effect, marking the second increase for the VF6 in under a year. For buyers who’ve been tracking either model, this matters because it signals VinFast is moving away from its introductory India pricing strategy as the brand expands its local presence, meaning the entry cost of getting into a VinFast EV is now higher than it was even a few months ago. Here’s exactly how much more each model costs and what’s driving the change.
VinFast VF 6: Second Hike Since Launch
– The VF6 gets a uniform Rs 90,000 increase across all three variants, Earth, Wind and Wind Infinity with no variant spared from the hike.
– Following this revision, the VF6 now costs between Rs 18.19 lakh and Rs 20.09 lakh (ex-showroom). This means that the rate goes up from its previous pricing band.
– This is the second price increase for the VF6 since its India launch in September last year; the first hike came in January 2026 when its original introductory pricing period ended.
VinFast VF7
VinFast VF 7: Steeper Increase, More Variants Affected
– The larger VF7 sees a bigger jump with prices rising by Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.13 lakh depending on variant. This is a noticeably steeper increase than the VF6’s flat hike.
– Post-revision, the VF7 starts at Rs 22.99 lakh and tops out at Rs 28.09 lakh (ex-showroom) across its five variants which include both single-motor and dual-motor powertrain options.
– The VF7 measures roughly 4,500 metres in length and its higher-spec variants come with a 70kWh battery pack, positioning it as VinFast’s larger and more premium SUV offering in India.
Both revisions take effect immediately, so buyers who haven’t yet booked either SUV will pay the new prices regardless of when they’d been planning to purchase. VinFast currently sells the VF7 and in India. The brand has also been spotted testing the smaller VF5 on Indian roads. This suggests the brand’s local lineup could expand further even as it continues adjusting prices on its existing models.
