Yash’s much-awaited Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is showing strong momentum at the box office even before its theatrical release. The Geetu Mohandas directorial, which is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on August 26, has already crossed the Rs 34 crore mark in India through its Day 1 advance booking, including blocked seats. The numbers underline the enormous anticipation surrounding Yash’s return to the big screen after KGF: Chapter 2.
According to the latest Sacnilk data, Yash starrer has recorded a gross advance booking of Rs 25.71 crore from 6,84,556 tickets across 14,430 shows, excluding blocked seats. When blocked seats are included, the film’s Day 1 advance booking gross rises to approximately Rs 34.19 crore.

Kannada Version Leads Advance Booking For Toxic
The biggest contributor to the film’s advance sales is naturally its . The Kannada 2D release has already generated around Rs 11.40 crore from 2,68,554 tickets across 1,665 shows. The Kannada IMAX and 4DX versions have added another Rs 94 lakh or so combined, taking the film’s premium-format business even higher.
Karnataka remains the film’s strongest territory by a considerable distance. The state has recorded around Rs 12.74 crore in direct gross advance bookings, while the figure rises to approximately Rs 15.94 crore with blocked seats. The state is also registering 50per cent real occupancy across 1,835 shows, with hundreds of screenings already marked almost full or filling fast.
Bengaluru, in particular, continues to drive the Kannada market. The city has registered around Rs 7.56 crore in Kannada 2D advance bookings, with real occupancy at 48per cent across 979 shows. The strong response extends to premium formats as well, with Kannada IMAX and 4DX screenings recording 61per cent and 70per cent occupancy respectively.

Hindi Version Also Shows Strong Demand
The Hindi version is another major contributor to Toxic’s advance-booking numbers. The standard Hindi 2D format has generated nearly Rs 11.90 crore from 3,52,356 tickets across 11,179 shows. IMAX and 4DX screenings have added further revenue, with average ticket prices significantly higher than those of standard screenings.
The National Capital Region has registered Rs 1.21 crore in Hindi 2D advance gross, while Mumbai has contributed Rs 74.07 lakh. Bengaluru has also recorded Rs 31.14 lakh from Hindi 2D screenings.

What The Numbers Mean For Toxic’s Opening
The advance-booking figures suggest that Toxic is heading towards a major opening, although advance gross cannot be directly treated as the film’s final Day 1 collection. With additional bookings expected before August 26, the numbers could rise substantially in the final hours.
While regular are available at more affordable prices, premium screenings are witnessing a steep surge. Tickets reportedly cost around Rs 2,700 in Mumbai, Rs 2,400 in Delhi and up to Rs 3,600 in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, the film has gotten early shows as well. In Delhi, Toxic Hindi shows are reportedly being lined up as early as 6am, while, audiences in Mumbai could catch the Yash film from 6:10am. In fact, the Kannada version of the Yash starrer is set to have shows as early as 5:45am in Bengaluru.
