Vijoy Kumar Singh became Special Chief Secretary of Punjab, instructed to take the scheme to the public

Senior IAS Officer Vijoy Kumar Singh took charge as Special Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in Punjab from today. After assuming charge, he presided over a meeting. The Special Chief Secretary said that his main priority is to deliver the benefits of the public-friendly and development-oriented policies of the state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to the grassroots level.

Vijoy Kumar Singh said that emphasis will be laid on providing clean, effective, efficient, transparent and accountable governance to the people. Along with this he also said that no stone will be left unturned for this noble cause. He directed the officials to ensure that people get the benefits of the state government schemes.

Pledge of timely civil service

During the meeting, the Special Chief Secretary said that as per the commitment of the state government, more attention will be given to education, health, employment, industrial development and other related sectors. He has also asked to ensure that the benefits of citizen-centric services reach the people within the stipulated time.

Vijoy Kumar Singh further said that better coordination should also be ensured between civil, police and other departments which is in the larger interest of the border state. The Special Chief Secretary, who came to congratulate him, asked the officers to perform their duties with more hard work and dedication, so that people can get maximum benefits.

Vijoy Kumar Singh is a senior officer of the Indian Administrative Service. He has held various positions in the state and central governments. 1990 batch IAS The officer has worked as Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training, Special Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles and Secretary in the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare of the Defense Ministry in the Government of India. He is counted as an officer who is active and accountable towards public service.
