Five students were injured due to lightning at Tirthankara Mahavir University in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, after which everyone was admitted to the hospital. The injured are being treated at TMU Hospital, in which the condition of two is said to be critical. The injured students include Sanskar, Siddharth, Manav, Shivesh, Bunty Raja. This incident took place at around 8:00 pm on Thursday.
Actually, the program was organized on the festival of Mahavir Jayanti in TMU. During this time, many students were also on the campus. When the time of Aarti was, some children were going from the temple. Then the storm came and lightning started to blow and light rain started. To avoid rain, a group of 5 students stood under the tree in the campus. Then suddenly lightning fell and the students standing under the tree were severely scorched.
The accident was very dangerous

It can be clearly seen in the video that the accident was so dangerous that the students standing near the tree suddenly fell down. In the viral video, a student is also seen getting up and going. Lightning caused a stir in the college. In a hurry, the injured students were sent to the hospital for treatment. The injured students are being treated at Tirthankar Hospital, where the condition of two of the five students remains very serious. Moradabad Police has taken cognizance of the incident.
Students were standing under the tree
Regarding the incident on behalf of the TMU administration, it was said that some students standing under the tree in front of the Girls Hostel at around 8 pm on 10 April 2025 were talking among themselves. Then lightning fell with a very loud voice. At the same time, two security guards of TMU Jaipal Singh and Pradeep Tomar were also present on duty around the same students. When lightning fell with a loud voice, he went to the tree and saw that five students were falling on the ground. All were taken to the hospital in emergency.
