Vibhuvana Sankashti Chaturthi 2026: In Sanatan Dharma, the fast of Sankashti Chaturthi is considered very special. This fast has been dedicated to the remover of obstacles and the first revered Lord Ganesha. This fast is observed every month on the Chaturthi date of Krishna Paksha. On this day, Lord Ganesha is worshiped with rituals. There is a religious belief that by fasting and worshiping on this day, Lord Ganesha becomes very happy and bestows blessings of happiness and peace in life. It also removes all the obstacles in life. Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi fast will be observed in the month of June. This fast comes in Adhikamas i.e. once in three years. At this time there is Adhikamaas, which will last till June 15.
Along with the worship of Lord Ganesha on Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi, the special importance of worshiping the Moon has also been mentioned in the religious scriptures. It is believed that unless Arghya is offered to the Moon, the fast of Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi is not completed and its results are not achieved. Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi fast will be observed on Wednesday, 03rd of the month of June. Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi date (Vibhuvana Sankashti Chaturthi 2026 Tithi)
- According to Drik Panchang, Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Adhikamas is starting from 09.21 pm on 3rd June 2026.
- At the same time, this date will end on Thursday, June 4 at 11:30 pm.
In such a situation, the fast of Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi will be observed on 03 June 2026.
Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi Puja Muhurta (Vibhuvana Sankashti Chaturthi 2026 Puja Subh Muhurat)
Devotees observing fast on this day can worship Lord Ganesha from 05:23 am to 11:46 am in the special combination of profit-progress and nectar-best Muhurta. If morning puja is not possible then the auspicious time from 10:35 am to 12:19 pm will also be the best time for puja. On Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi, Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will last from 05:28 am to 11:46 am. It will be very auspicious to worship Lord Ganesha in this yoga.
Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi Puja Method (Vibhuvana Sankashti Chaturthi Puja Vidhi)
On Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi, take bath in the morning and wear clean clothes. After this, take a resolution to observe Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi fast and Ganesh puja and fast. Place the idol of Lord Ganesha on a post during auspicious time. Perform Jalabhishek of Lord Ganesha and adorn him with clothes, flowers, garland, sandalwood etc. Worship God duly by offering Akshat, turmeric, flowers, incense, lamp, fragrance, naivedya, betel leaves, betel nut and fruits.
Offer vermillion to Ganpati Bappa and offer 21 lumps of Durva. Offer modak or laddu to Lord Ganesha. Light the lamp. Chant the mantra Om Gan Ganapataye Namah during the puja. Read or listen to the story of Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi fast. Then perform the Aarti of Lord Ganesha. At the end, fold your hands and ask for forgiveness for the mistakes made during the puja.
Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi moonrise time (Vibhuvana Sankashti Chaturthi 2026 Moon Rise Time)
Moon darshan and Arghya are considered to have special significance in Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi fast. Moonrise will occur on June 03 at 10:04 pm. Devotees can offer Arghya to the Moon from this time till 10.43 pm. While offering Arghya to the Moon, definitely mix raw milk in water.
