On the last day of the police recruitment exam in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, 5 people including 2 solvers have been arrested. A deal was struck with the solvers from Bihar for Rs 1 lakh to appear in the exam. However, while entering the examination center, he and his associate were caught during biometric matching. One solver had come from Prayagraj. Apart from these three, the police have also arrested two candidates on charges of tampering in the exam.
The police is questioning all of them. Efforts are also being made to know the history of the arrested solvers. Saturday was the last day of the exam for recruitment in Uttar Pradesh Police. Several centers were set up in Varanasi for this. In this sequence, Varanasi Police arrested five people from the three centers. According to the police, two of the arrested accused are candidates. Two solvers and one of their associates have been arrested. These arrests have been made from Bhelupur and Lanka police station areas of Varanasi.
Arrested for giving exam in place of someone else
Pradeep Singh has been arrested from the centre set up in the Krishi Vigyan Kendra of BHU campus. Pradeep’s name and date of birth were found to be different in biometric matching. It was revealed that he had given the high school examination twice to get age relaxation. He gave the first examination in the name of Pramod Singh, while he appeared for the second high school examination in the name of Pradeep Singh. In the same sequence, the police have arrested Shrikant, a resident of Bihar, from the centre located in Lanka police station area. Shrikant had come to give the examination in place of another youth.
The deal was for one lakh
Police has arrested his associate Vishal from Azamgarh from outside this centre. During interrogation, both of them told that they had struck a deal with the original candidate for Rs 1 lakh. Police said that a solver Satish Kumar has also been arrested from Bhelupur police station area. Satish Kumar, a resident of Prayagraj, had come to appear in the exam in place of a candidate named Atul Dev Pal. On the other hand, Jalaun police has also arrested a Munna Bhai who had come to appear in this exam. He had come to appear in the exam by submitting a fake birth certificate. He has been arrested after the birth dates in the Aadhar card and the high school marks certificate were found to be different.
