Now he is coming with ‘Vanvas’ with Nana Patekar and his son Utkarsh Sharma. This looks like a decent film. The teaser of the film has arrived. But this does not reveal anything special about the film.
What’s in the teaser of ‘Vanvas’?
From watching the teaser it is clear that it is set in Banaras and some hilly area. ‘Vanvas’ is an emotional story of father and son. The father is searching for his son or the son can also search for the father. The theme of the film is – Our own people give exile to their own people. Now here whether the son sent his father to exile or whether the father sent his son to exile is beyond understanding.

Nana Patekar is seen teaching religion to his son in the film. He is seen explaining the importance of father. He is telling how a father brings up his son. Takes care of him. If he doesn’t do this, what will happen to his son? At one place in the teaser, a necklace is also shown hanging on Nana Patekar’s photo. This means that there may be a scene of his death in the film. Or it could also be that he was not found and people assumed him dead.
Anil Sharma’s old work speaks volumes
Nana is seen in his familiar style in the teaser of ‘Vanvas’. His character has been given an emotional touch. Anil Sharma’s son Utkarsh Sharma has been given very less space in the teaser. More space has been given to Anil Sharma’s old films ‘Gadar’ and ‘Apne’. In the teasers that we have seen before, it is simply written that this movie has been made by the director of this famous film.
In the teaser of ‘Vanvas’, footage from ‘Gadar’ and ‘Apne’ has been used. This matter is not very clear. One should not capitalize on one’s old work so much that the new work gets overshadowed. A little more property could have been included in the teaser, so that the public could know more about ‘Vanvas’. Everyone already knows Anil Sharma and his films.
However, Utkarsh Sharma is in the lead role with Nana Patekar in ‘Vanvas’. Khushboo Sundar, Simrat Kaur and Rajpal Yadav are also with him. Along with direction, Anil Sharma has also written the film. Mithun has given the music of the film. This picture will be seen in theaters on 20th December.
