Diwali happiness in a family in Vaishali district of Bihar turned into mourning when a young man was brutally murdered at knifepoint near Puraina in Mahua sub-division area. Angered by the incident, people blocked Gandhi Chowk and created a ruckus. According to the information, some youth called Roshan Kumar, 22 year old son of Rajesh Kumar Rai, resident of Basti Sarsikan village of Kathara OP area of Mahua, as Puraina and stabbed him to death, due to which Roshan died.
Roshan’s death created confusion in the family. The family members started crying. Angered by the incident, angry people blocked Gandhi Chowk of Mahua market. Traffic came to a complete halt due to the jam. As soon as information about the incident and jam was received, Mahua SDPO Surabh Suman, Police Station Head Subhash Prasad reached the spot along with the police force. After much effort, the angry people were pacified and the jam ended. Also the body was sent to Hajipur Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
The deceased youth had gone to his maternal home.
When Mahua SDPO Surabh Suman reached the spot, the family members of the deceased hugged him and started crying. It is said that Roshan Kumar’s maternal home is in Baradhiya village of Patepur. He had gone to his maternal home. During this time someone called him. After receiving the call, Roshan immediately left, after which he did not return. The family got information that someone had stabbed Roshan. People quickly reached there and admitted him to a private hospital for treatment, where the doctor declared him dead.
Police busy searching for murderers
It is said that Roshan was the only son of his parents. Roshan has two sisters. On the occasion of Diwali, he had gone to his maternal home. There was happiness of Diwali in his house, but after receiving a call, Roshan left his house. After this he was murdered. Regarding the incident, Mahua SDPO (Sub-Divisional Police Officer) Surabh Suman said that Roshan had a clash with some boys, after which he was murdered. The recovered body has been sent for post-mortem. Police are conducting raids to arrest the killers.
