The crushing defeat in the T20 series on the England tour was no less than a big shock for Team India. This defeat created an atmosphere of despair. But while the performance of the entire team was under question, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who made his debut in international cricket at the age of just 15, also failed. He made his debut in this series but did not achieve the success that he got in IPL 2026. Or just before that in the Under-19 World Cup 2026. After this disappointing start, Vaibhav is now once again returning to the same ground where he had made Team India the world champion.

The T20 series between India and Zimbabwe is going to start in Harare from Thursday 23rd July. 3 matches are to be played in this series and this time this series is very important for the Indian team. Rarely has there been so much excitement and anxiety about a T20 series against Zimbabwe. Everyone knows the reason. The situation like that of Ireland may not happen here too. But Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s curiosity is different and he expressed it openly.

In an interview given to the BCCI media team just before the start of the T20 series, Vaibhav expressed happiness on returning to Harare. Recalling the final of the Under-19 World Cup, Vaibhav said, “Harare is a very memorable ground for me. Four months ago we played the Under-19 World Cup and won. It is everyone’s dream to play for India and it is a different pleasure to come back and play on such a good ground, where we had created history. We will enjoy a lot.

For Vaibhav, this comeback will not only be special but also important. Amidst the huge uproar on social media, he was made his debut in the T20 series against England but he did not achieve the success for which he has become famous. Vaibhav played only innings of 14, 13 and 15 runs on the England tour. He was dropped in the last match.

Now Vaibhav will hope that Harare proves to be good for him once again. On the same ground in February, Vaibhav had played a record inning of 175 runs in just 80 balls in the final of the Under-19 World Cup, which included 15 sixes and 15 fours i.e. a total of 30 boundaries. Vaibhav would like to take off his international career by playing an aggressive innings like that match.
