Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave the message of public service, transparency and honesty by giving appointment letters to 182 candidates of Uttarakhand PCS-2024 and 5 selected candidates of Agriculture Department.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami distributed appointment letters to 182 candidates selected in the PCS Main Examination-2024 conducted by Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) and 5 candidates selected for the post of Personal Assistant in the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department during a program organized at the Chief Sevak Sadan located at the Chief Minister Camp Office on Friday. On this occasion, a total of 187 newly selected candidates started their new responsibilities in government service.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Message: Appointment letter said to be a symbol of public trust and service
Congratulating all the selected candidates, the Chief Minister said that the appointment letter is not only a document of government job, but it is also a symbol of the faith, expectations and resolve of public service of 1.25 crore citizens of the state. He said that the real identity of an officer is not determined by his position, but by his working style, sensitive behavior and dedication towards the public.
UKPSC PCS 2024: Only 182 candidates selected out of 1.5 lakh applications
The Chief Minister said that about one and a half lakh youth had applied for the Uttarakhand PCS Main Examination-2024. Out of these, more than 71 thousand candidates appeared in the examination, whereas only 182 candidates could be finally selected. He said that this achievement is the result of hard work, talent, discipline and strong determination of the selected candidates.
Government Jobs Uttarakhand: Public service is not the post in democracy, the biggest responsibility
The Chief Minister said that the meaning of any post in a democratic system is not to rule, but to serve the people. He said that the state government is working with the mantra of simplification, solution, disposal and satisfaction. He urged the newly selected officers to deliver the benefits of government schemes and services to the last person of the society with complete transparency, sensitivity and time bound manner. He also said that every citizen coming from remote areas should experience respectful treatment, trust and quick solutions in government offices.
Transparent Recruitment: Anti-copying law increases confidence of youth
The Chief Minister said that the state government has implemented the country’s strictest anti-copying law to make the recruitment processes completely transparent. Its positive results have emerged and the youth’s confidence in recruitment examinations has become stronger than before. He said that in the last four and a half years, the state government has appointed more than 34 thousand youth in government services with complete fairness and transparency. Now with the addition of 187 new candidates, the government’s commitment towards the youth has become stronger.
Uttarakhand Employment: Emphasis on giving better opportunities to the youth in the state itself
The Chief Minister said that the aim of the government is to provide employment opportunities to every youth of Uttarakhand as per his talent and ability, so that they do not need to go out of the state in search of employment. He said that the government is continuously working in this direction that both mountain water and mountain youth become the biggest forces for the development of Uttarakhand.
Developed Uttarakhand Vision: Important role of officers in building developed Uttarakhand
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described the third decade of the 21st century as the decade of Uttarakhand from the holy land of Baba Kedar. The role of newly selected officers will be very important in realizing this resolution. He said that the government formulates policies, but the responsibility of implementing them effectively on the ground lies with the officers and employees. Therefore, all officers should discharge their responsibilities with complete devotion, honesty and dedication.

The Chief Minister said that the state government will stand strongly with those officers and employees who will fulfill their responsibilities with honesty and impartiality. He called upon the officers to be free from any kind of pressure and give top priority to the Constitution, law and public interest.
