While addressing the public meeting in Danya, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced many development works including road, stadium, school upgradation.
Almora. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, while addressing the public meeting organized at Ramlila Maidan in Danya in Almora district on Sunday, made several important announcements for the development of the area. During this, he said that the state government is continuously working for the balanced and holistic development of every area of the state.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is establishing new dimensions of development and prosperity. In the same direction, Uttarakhand is also moving forward rapidly and making remarkable achievements in various fields.
Danya College Inauguration: Inauguration of the newly constructed college building
Before the public meeting, the Chief Minister inaugurated the new building of Government College, Danya constructed at a cost of about Rs 4 crore 96 lakh. He said that the construction of this building will provide better educational facilities to the students of the area and will promote higher education.
Major announcements of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made the following announcements for the development of the area during the public meeting-
- A grand entrance will be constructed in Almora in the name of martyr Bireshwar Goswami.
- Sports ground will be developed in Chamtola.
- A mini stadium will be built in Government College, Garudabanj.
- Four additional classrooms will be constructed in GIC Garudabanj.
- Prem Mandir and Radha-Krishna Temple complex will be beautified.
- Farming Road will be constructed from Kachauri area of Jateswar Motorway to Kaluta polling booth.
- Government Higher Secondary School Chagethi will be upgraded.
Uttarakhand Tourism Development: Government’s focus on spiritual and tourism development
The Chief Minister said that the state government is making continuous efforts to preserve the cultural and spiritual heritage of Uttarakhand. He said that work is being done rapidly towards developing Uttarakhand as a major spiritual center at the global level. He said that tourism activities are continuously increasing in Kedarkhand and Manaskhand areas, due to which a large number of devotees and tourists are reaching the state. This is also strengthening the local economy.
Jageshwar Dham Master Plan: Planned development of Jageshwar Dham is taking place
The Chief Minister said that various development works are being done under the Jageshwar Master Plan while preserving the original form of Jageshwar Dham. Parking facilities are being expanded at the Dham and modern facilities are being developed to provide a better experience to the devotees. He said that the state government is fully committed to the conservation and development of major religious places of the state.
Winter Tourism Uttarakhand: Promotion of winter tourism and local events
The Chief Minister said that the state government is promoting winter tourism. Along with this, Ayurveda and Yoga based tourism is also being promoted. He said that through the ‘One District, One Festival’ scheme, local fairs and cultural events are getting a new identity. This has increased self-employment opportunities and strengthened the economy of the state.
Film Friendly State: Uttarakhand becomes favorite state for film production
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has the distinction of becoming the most film-friendly state in the country. He said that the government is ensuring a transparent recruitment process to secure the future of the youth. He said that after the implementation of the anti-cheating law, the confidence of the youth towards recruitment examinations has strengthened. Besides, the government is also continuously taking strict steps against corruption.
Ajay Tamta Statement: Rapid development due to double engine government
Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Ajay Tamta said that Uttarakhand is developing rapidly due to the joint efforts of the Central and State Governments. He appealed to all the people to cooperate in making the state a leading state of the country.

After the public meeting, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the residence of Danya resident Pawan Pant. Here he participated in the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, listened to the story and wished for the happiness, prosperity and welfare of the people of the state. On this occasion, MLA Mohan Singh Mehra, District Panchayat President Hema Gaida, Minister of State for Status Ganga Bisht, Minister of State for Status Kundan Latwal, District Magistrate Anshul Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Chandrashekhar R Ghodke, BJP District President Mahesh Nayal and many public representatives, officials and a large number of local citizens were present.
