Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami assured early implementation of the Ranibagh-Bhimtal rope-way project. This will give a new impetus to tourism and traffic in Kumaon.
The state government is continuously working towards improving the tourism facilities in Uttarakhand. In this series, Vice Chairman of Housing Advisory Council Bhavana Mehra met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday. During this, he handed over a letter to the Chief Minister regarding the early implementation of the Ranibagh-Bhimtal rope-way project and urged him to take the project forward on priority basis. The Chief Minister also acknowledged the importance of this project and assured necessary action. He says that ropeway projects in Kumaon region will give new impetus to tourism, traffic and local economy.

Housing Advisory Council Vice Chairperson Bhavana Mehra met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and stressed the need for early implementation of the Ranibagh-Bhimtal rope-way project. He said that this project is not limited to transportation facility only, but it will provide huge benefits to tourism, infrastructure and economic activities of the entire region. He said that with the construction of ropeway, tourists will get the option of safe, fast and convenient travel, which will also increase local business and employment opportunities.
Pushkar Singh Dhami: Government’s special focus on rope-way network in Kumaon
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government is making continuous efforts to connect the major tourist destinations of Kumaon division with modern transport facilities. He said that special attention is being given to rope-way projects for major religious and tourist places like Ranibagh, Bhimtal, Nainital and Kainchidham. According to the Chief Minister, with the completion of these projects, road traffic pressure in the hilly areas will be reduced, travel will be easier and tourists will get a better experience.

Experts believe that rope-way projects are becoming an important medium for tourism development in Uttarakhand.
