Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has made a big announcement. He has said that an important initial peace agreement to end the war between America and Iran will be signed within 24 hours. Shahbaz Sharif gave this information on social media platform X and said that technical level talks will continue next week. American sources have also confirmed that the terms of the agreement have been agreed upon between the two countries. Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Aragji has claimed that they have won this war. However, Israel’s non-participation in the peace talks being mediated by Pakistan still remains a major obstacle.
According to sources, this agreement was signed in Geneva by US Vice President J.D. There may be a meeting between Vance and Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bakar Khalibaf. It is reported that under this deal, Iran will reopen the important Strait of Hormuz, which it had closed. In return, the US will lift the naval blockade imposed on Iran’s ports, release billions of dollars of seized Iranian assets and also ease restrictions on Iran’s oil exports. Further talks will continue to resolve disputes related to Iran’s nuclear program.
America claims that this agreement will fulfill the main goals of President Donald Trump. Senior US officials say that funds will be given to Iran only if it properly follows the terms of the agreement. This is completely a performance-based deal. New military activity has also been seen in the Strait of Hormuz amid reports of peace talks. It is reported that the US Army has shot down several Iranian drones, which were moving towards Hormuz posing a threat to merchant ships. There are also reports that Iranian forces fired on ships trying to cross the border without permission. Iran’s Foreign Minister has warned that Iran will have control over the Strait of Hormuz along with Oman and their dominance in this area will continue.
At the same time, Israel, which was involved in this war with America, has made it clear that it will not be a part of this peace agreement. The reason for the differences between America and Israel is Trump’s demand in which he asked Israel to stop its military action in Lebanon. Iran is claiming that this new agreement will end the war in Lebanon and Israel will have to retreat. But Israel says it will continue military action for its security.
