Vegetables to avoid in uric acid: We eat many vegetables in our daily diet. Some vegetables have adverse effects on people with certain health conditions. People suffering from high uric acid problem should not eat some vegetables. This will further increase joint pain.
These vegetables contain high amount of purine. This causes high uric acid, joint pain and kidney stones. Uric acid crystals get deposited in the toes and joints. This causes very severe pain.
Brinjal: It is rich in purines. May be the reason for increase in uric acid. This may cause pain and swelling in the joints. It would be better if you don’t eat it.
Spinach: People eat a lot of spinach during winter season. But this vegetable is dangerous for patients suffering from uric acid problem. People suffering from kidney stone problem should also avoid eating spinach.
Broccoli: Eating broccoli can increase the problem of uric acid. This can cause pain in legs and joints. To prevent this, one should avoid eating broccoli.
Mushrooms: Eating mushrooms increases the amount of purine which leads to increase in uric acid. You should avoid consuming it.
Cauliflower: Cauliflower is high in purines. If you eat this, the problem of high uric acid will increase. Eating this can increase the problem of joint pain.
