On 26 August, the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj located in Malvan, Sindhudurg in Maharashtra suddenly collapsed. Since then, this matter has been constantly heated up. Although a case has been registered against two people in the case of the statue falling, the opposition is constantly attacking the state government on this issue. Now the constituent parties of the Maha Vikas Aghadi will hold a ‘Joota Maro Andolan’ from Hutatma Chowk to Gateway of India in South Mumbai on September 1 against the Maharashtra government.

The opposition alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi had sharply criticized the Maharashtra government on this. While the Uddhav faction had earlier demanded the resignation of the state Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, now it has called for a ‘joota maaro aandolan’. In such a situation, it seems that a huge uproar can be seen in Maharashtra in the coming days. However, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has apologized for the incident of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj falling.

Chetan Patil arrested

Ajit Pawar said that strict action will be taken against the culprits. Meanwhile, CM Eknath Shinde said that this incident is unfortunate. I am ready to apologize 100 times for this incident. Shinde said that he will soon build a big statue of Shivaji Maharaj. Contractor Chetan Patil, who was building the 35-foot-high statue of Shivaji Maharaj, has also been arrested. He has been arrested from Kolhapur in Maharashtra.

didn’t even last a year

PM Modi unveiled this statue of Shivaji Maharaj 8 months ago on 4 December last year. It was not even a year since the statue was built and it fell down. Not only the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra but also Prime Minister Narendra Modi has apologized to the public on this matter. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing in Palghar, Maharashtra, said that Chhatrapati Maharaj is not just a king for us but an idol. I fall at his feet and apologize to him.
