There is an uproar over rape again in West Bengal. There is an uproar in Falakata of Alipurduar district of West Bengal after the rape and murder of a five-year-old girl. Local people are protesting demanding justice and have beaten the accused neighbor to death.
Meanwhile, within 24 hours of the incident in Falakata, Alipurduar, the police has arrested another youth. On the other hand, there is huge tension in the area. Local people started protesting by blocking the road. People are protesting by burning tyres.
Demonstrations are taking place in Falakat since morning
The people of the area are angry since Saturday morning and are continuously protesting. The villagers are roaming around the village raising slogans and demanding hanging of the accused. The villagers are also protesting by blocking the main road from Itholbari to Falakata.
According to the information received from the police, a girl was playing in front of the house on Friday afternoon in a village under Falakata police station. Parents had gone to farming. They returned home and searched without seeing the girl. The girl was found with the help of local people. But then there was no life left in his body. The girl’s body was found on the banks of the pond. Accusations of rape and murder were made.
The accused was tied to a tree and beaten to death
It is alleged that the accused had seduced the girl and then raped and murdered her. Local people caught a young neighbor and tied him to a tree for his involvement in the incident. When the police went to the spot after receiving information about the beating, there was a protest. After several rescue attempts, the accused was taken to the hospital. Where the girl was declared dead.
According to police source, a young man has been caught by the police in that incident. On Saturday, the police presented the accused youth in Alipurduar district court. A section of local people claimed that the girl was gang-raped.

On the other hand, political reaction has started on the Alipurduar case. The opposition has raised questions on the law and order situation in the state. Questions have also been raised regarding the safety of women and children.
