Weather of Agra, Aligarh and Western UP
Today the temperature in Agra, UP is expected to be around 42°C maximum and 28°C minimum, and there will also be an effect of heat wave. There is some relief in Aligarh, the temperature here will be around 38°C/25°C and there is no major warning alert. The weather will definitely be hot in Meerut, the temperature can reach 41°C and heatwave conditions will persist.
Heat wave in Lucknow, Kanpur and Central UP
The weather in the capital Lucknow will be mainly clear with temperatures ranging between 42°C/30°C, although there is no heatwave alert. The heat in Kanpur is very intense, the temperature can go up to 43°C and the effect of heatwave will also be visible.
Effect of severe heat in eastern UP
The situation is most serious in districts like Prayagraj, Banaras (Varanasi), Ayodhya and Ballia.

UP weather forecast for the coming days (20-23 June 2026)
From June 20 to 22, the effect of heatwave may increase further in most of the districts, especially in Kanpur, Prayagraj, Banaras and Banda. After June 23, there is a possibility of partly cloudy sky and light rain or thundershowers in some districts like Ayodhya, Banaras and Bareilly, which may provide some relief. Overall, today the effect of intense heat, heatwave and dry weather will continue in the entire state. People need to take sun protection, adequate amount of water and precautions.
