After a fight between two parties in Sikriganj police station area of Gorakhpur, the outpost in-charge and a constable, who reached the spot, were taken hostage by people of one party and beaten badly. The constable saved his life by running away from the spot, but the post in-charge became unconscious due to head injury. After giving information by the constable, the police force reached the spot and rescued the outpost in-charge who was held hostage.
Shravan Yadav, a resident of Kanhauli village under Sikriganj police station of Gorakhpur district, has been having a dispute with his Patidar regarding land for a long time. On Sunday, Shravan was going on a bike to Dughra intersection to get the vibration bearing, when Rajan from the other party also came on the bike and a dispute started between the two regarding moving the bike back and forth. During this time many people from both sides reached the spot.
Accusations were made against the police
After which Shravan informed the police about this dispute. As soon as the police got information about the matter, they reached the spot, pacified the people from both the parties and sent them back, but after some time, the dispute started again between the two parties and the matter escalated into a fight. Again Shravan informed the police about the matter. Shravan Kumar and his family members allege that the police is in collusion with people from the other party. That’s why she reached the spot late.
Outpost incharge held hostage
After making the allegations, Shravan and people from his side started beating the outpost in-charge Dughra and the constable who reached the spot with him and then later locked both of them in a room. The constable somehow saved his life by leaving the room and informed the police about the entire incident. The police force reached the spot and freed the outpost in-charge from the clutches of the accused. The seriously injured outpost in-charge was first rescued and taken to the district hospital for treatment, but later admitted to the medical college, where he is undergoing treatment.
FIR registered against 35 people
In this case, SP South Jitendra Kumar said that on the complaint of SSI (Senior Sub Inspector) Bhupendra of Sikriganj, a case has been registered under serious sections against 15 named and 20 unidentified people from both the parties. At present the police have detained many people including Shravan Yadav. Shravan Yadav was a soldier in the army. 10 years ago, he left his job and came to the village and started making inroads in politics.
Controversy is going on regarding land dispute
In the last Panchayat elections, Shravan Yadav had contested the Pradhani election, in which he had to face defeat. Shravan’s father had three brothers. The eldest was his father Ram Singh, second was Rajan’s father Ramjit and third was Jhinak who had no children. There is a dispute going on for the last 10 years regarding the distribution of their property. There have been many fights in the past regarding this.
