Boxes and bags were lowered onto the platform for inspection. The box was locked, so the officials broke it with a hammer. When the box was opened, the blood-soaked torso of a woman wearing salwar-kurti was found inside. Further search found the woman’s hands and legs wrapped in polythene inside the cargo bag.

According to the police, the woman’s head was missing. GRP Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohit Mishra TOI Told that the age of the deceased seems to be around 30 years. It is suspected that he was murdered 10 to 12 hours before his body was found. Mishra said, “Three police teams have been formed, which are scanning the CCTV footage of the stations falling on the train’s route, so that the person who kept the body in the train can be identified.”

He also said that the woman might have been murdered by slitting her throat, because injury marks were found on her neck and shoulders. It seems that he may have struggled during the murder attempt. It seems that after the murder, the murderer found an opportunity to dispose of the body and then kept it in a train.

A team has been sent to contact the passengers of the S1 coach to get any information about the person who had carried the box and bag into the train. Police believe that the body parts were kept in the train after the murder to hide the crime and mislead the police. Forensic experts were also called to the spot to collect evidence from the bag and coach.
