A heart-wrenching news has come from the Cantonment area of Uttar Pradesh. Here a 22-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide after the death of his pet fish. Police has given this information. According to reports, there was power failure for a long time on Friday morning. The family did not even have an inverter, due to which the aquarium’s air pump stopped. All the fish died due to lack of oxygen.
Police said that the young man was devastated by the death of his beloved fish. He was in such deep shock that he locked himself in a room. Next morning, when his family members looked, he was found hanging in his room.
Cantt Police Station Incharge Arvind Rai said that the father of the deceased informed the police that his son loved his fishes very much and took great care of them. Rai further said that prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide. The body has been sent for postmortem and further investigation is underway.
