The body of a youth was found last Tuesday near Turra drain near Baharampur village in AIIMS police station area of Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The police, who reached the information, identified him as former BDC member Vipin Paswan. The young man had serious injury marks on his head. In this matter, on the complaint of the father, the police registered a case and were investigating all the aspects. Police investigation has revealed that the father himself had murdered his son.
Vipin Paswan, resident of Chankapur village of AIIMS police station area, had been a Panchayat member. Last Monday, he had gone to Devachavar temple on bike with his father Dinanath for darshan, but he did not return. At that time father Dinanath had told that when it was evening, the son said that you should go back home, I will return after some time, but he did not come till morning. Next day on Tuesday morning, his body was recovered from Turra drain near Baharampur village.
Father had filed a complaint
On the complaint of the father, the police had registered a case against unknown people. At the same time, the police had started investigating the matter. At that time the father had told the police that Vipin’s maternal home was in Baharampur. He often used to go to Devachavar temple to have darshan of Mata. In the same sequence, he went with me on Monday, but when the evening started, he said that Papa, you go home and I will return after some time.
The deceased was the eldest among the siblings
I came back, but he did not come. At that time, during police investigation, blood was found lying near the bridge at some distance from the dead body. In such a situation, the police suspected that he was murdered by hitting his head with some heavy object and after that the body was thrown in the drain. Vipin was the eldest among two brothers and one sister. The sister is married and the younger brother is still studying. Father Dinanath is a class IV employee in a school.

After the murder, the police was investigating by getting the call details of Vipin’s mobile. Police found out that on the day of the murder the deceased had received calls from his father several times. During investigation it was found that someone close to him was involved in this incident. In such a situation, the police started connecting the links. It was the father who took his son out of the house that day. He returned home in the evening, but his son did not return.
Father confessed to the crime
The body was found the next day. In such a situation, the father was interrogated several times on the basis of suspicion. So his statements were changed. Then when he was interrogated strictly, he revealed the truth. Father Dinanath told that his son Vipin had become addicted to alcohol and other drugs after falling in bad company. He used to fight with us again and again. We explained to him many times, but he was not ready to understand.
Father committed murder by planning
He used to come home daily in an intoxicated state. Used to beat me. He also used to abuse other members of the family. We were fed up with his actions. In such a situation, I thought of making a plan to dispose of him. First they took him and made him drink alcohol and then pushed him from the culvert into the Turra drain, but he did not die. After that, he was killed by attacking him with a brick lying nearby. At the behest of the accused, the police recovered the brick and bike used in the incident and sent him to jail.
