Something similar has come to light from Mau in Uttar Pradesh, where an old man carried his wife’s dead body on foot to Raghauli, 50 km away from Nagara in Ballia. The husband was working as a laborer and getting his sick wife treated but she died during treatment. After this, the husband appealed to people to take him home but no one helped the old man. Then he put his wife’s dead body on the cart and left. He told that he has four children but all of them live separately from him.
