Mithlesh Pal, MLA elected from RLD in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, along with 14 other MLAs, MPs/MLAs appeared in the court. Many allegations were made against him for blocking traffic. The allegation said that due to the protest there was a severe traffic jam. The road became blocked.
People had to face difficulty in commuting. Special Judge Devendra Singh Faujdar has framed charges against MLA Mithilesh Pal and 14 other MLAs in this case under IPC sections like inciting riot, wrongful confinement. The date of next hearing of this case has been fixed for January 3, 2025.

Mithlesh Pal’s lawyer Kiranpal told about this case that a case was registered against 15 people including the MLA at Civil Lines police station on 25 February 2019. According to the lawyer of the accused, the MLA and others had staged a protest near Mahavir Chowk and blocked the road demanding inclusion of Dhangar caste in the Scheduled Caste list. Pal has recently been elected RLD MLA in Meerapur assembly by-election. The results of the by-election for Meerapur assembly seat were declared on 23 November.
Mithlesh Pal is a resident of Bhartia Colony near Jansath Road. In 2012 also, he had contested elections from Meerapur seat on RLD ticket. She stood second in the 2012 elections. He was defeated in the election by BSP’s Jamil Ahmed Qasmi. Once again he decided to contest elections from Meerapur seat in 2017. This time also she did not win the election and stood third. In the 2017 elections, he was defeated by BJP’s Avtar Singh Bhadana. Now after winning the election from Meerapur seat, she reached MP/MLA court. A case has been registered against him under IPC sections related to inciting riot and taking hostage.
