She petitioned that at the time of divorce, she was not aware of her husband’s actual property, hence her case should be reconsidered and she should be given fair maintenance. The UK Supreme Court accepted his application and the case was reopened.
Victory after 23 years
Varsha Gohil continued her fight. After years of hearing, now the decision has come in this matter. According to UK rules, the court has ordered a compensation of Rs 85 crore to Varsha Gohil. After a long and difficult battle of about 23 years, Varsha has finally got justice.
