Ujjain will be successful in preserving its cultural, religious and mythological heritage: Union Minister Nadda

Union Minister (Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers) Jagat Prakash Nadda today watched the presentation organized in the Collector Auditorium regarding the action plan and preparations for Simhastha 2028. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, MP and State President VD Sharma, MP Anil Firozia, Minister in-charge Gautam Tetwal, local MLA and other public representatives were present.

On this occasion, Union Minister JP Nadda said that this presentation is very wonderful. If this action plan is implemented with this thinking in mind, Ujjain will be successful in preserving its cultural, religious and mythological heritage. Ujjain boasts of its religious, cultural and mythological heritage. With this type of action plan, the ancient glory of Ujjain will be enhanced and the form of Avantika of King Vikramaditya will be achieved.

In Simhastha 2028, bathing will be done with Kshipra water only.

During the presentation, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav himself gave information about the action plan to make Kapila Gaushala and Shipra flowing. He said that with these action plans, we will be able to make Shipra uninterrupted and clean at minimal cost and in Simhastha 2028, people will be able to bathe in Shipra water only.

Along with this, CM Yadav also told about the action plan to protect the cows that cow sheds are being built in all the major cities to keep 10 thousand cows. These cow shelters will be operated with minimal expenditure and using minimum manpower. CM Yadav has given instructions to the officials to start the work with a countdown to give shape to the action plan.

Construction of permanent ghats from basalt stone

Mohan Yadav told that this time in Simhastha, permanent ghats will be constructed with basalt stones on both sides of the Kshipra river, which will give stability to the form of Kshipra river in the coming times and there will be no need for construction of additional ghats in the upcoming Simhasthas. To make Shipra river flowing and uninterrupted by Simhastha 2028, Kanh Diversion Close Duct Project, Sewarkhedi-Silarkhedi Medium Project and construction of barrage on Kanh and Shipra rivers and construction of ghats from basalt and related works are being done.

The main objective of the Kanh Diversion Close Duct Project is to prevent the contaminated water of the Kanh River from mixing with the Kshipra River in Ujjain city, so that the water of the Moksha Dayini Kshipra River remains pure. In this project, a barrage is to be constructed on Kanh river in village Jamalpur tehsil Ujjain, due to which the contaminated water of Kanh river is to be diverted through a closed duct.

The total length of the project is 30.15. m. In which closed duct is to be constructed by cut and cover in 18.15 km length and tunnel is to be constructed in 12 km length. Its total cost amount is Rs 920 crore and completion period is 36 months.

Barrage will be constructed on Kshipra river

Sewarkhedi Silarkhedi Medium Project is to maintain constant flow value of Kshipra river. Under the project, a barrage is to be constructed on the Kshipra river in village Sevarkhedi tehsil Ujjain, from which the water of the rainy season is proposed to be lifted and collected in the Silaarkhedi pond located in village Silaarkhedi tehsil Ujjain. After the rainy season, the water stored in Silarkhedi pond will be re-flowed into the Kshipra river near village Kunwariya. The cost amount of this project is Rs 614.53 crore and this project is targeted to be completed in 30 months. Apart from this, 5 barrages will be built on Kanh river and 1 barrage on Kshipra river, the total cost of which is Rs 37 crore.

For the devotees coming during Simhastha to take bath, ghats will be constructed on the Kshipra River from Shani Temple to Nagda Bypass in total length of 29 km. The total cost of the said scheme is Rs 778.91 crore, and the proposed completion period is 36 months. Basalt stone laying will be done for the convenience of the large number of devotees coming to the ghats.

Construction of ropeway from railway station to temple

For easy and dynamic access of devotees in Simhastha 2028, work is being done on ropeway railway station to Mahakaleshwar temple, upgradation of railway station, upgradation of Sadawal helipad and airstrip and multi-directional road projects. In the presentation, Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Gupta and Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh informed that a ropeway is being constructed from the railway station to Mahakaleshwar temple. The cost of this project is Rs 199 crore and a 1.76 km ropeway is being constructed, under which devotees will travel through 48 cabins with a capacity of 10 passengers each.

Satellite station will be developed

Work is also being done on the upgradation of the railway station and the railway line of Ujjain-Agar-Jhalawar which costs Rs 2836 crore. Along with this, a satellite station with basic passenger facilities will be developed in Ujjain district at a cost of Rs 30 crore. For the convenience of the devotees, development work for upgrading Sadawal helipad and airstrip is also being done. Four new helipads are being constructed in Sadawal at a cost of Rs 13.52 crore.

Construction of 6 new bridges on Kshipra river

On this occasion, the action plan of the new Collectorate building, Unity Mall, Shri Mahakal Bhakta Niwas, the medical hub being built in Ujjain in the form of Medicity, Vikram Udyogpuri and IT Park were also presented. Along with this, the works of MPEB, construction of 6 new bridges on Kshipra river, action plan to connect Javra four lane with Delhi-Mumbai Super Highway and action plan to convert the main roads connecting Ujjain to other cities into four lane and six lane. Presentation was also made.

MLA Anil Jain Kaluhera, Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, Municipal Corporation Chairman Kalavati Yadav, ADGP Umesh Joga, DIG Navneet Bhasin, SP Pradeep Sharma, District Panchayat CEO Jayati Singh, and other public representatives and officials were present in the meeting.
