Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Ujjaini Vikram Trade Fair 2026. Hundreds of stalls of four and two wheelers have been set up in the fair. Relief worth crores was given in the last two years. This year the Municipal Corporation has earned an income of Rs 4.10 crore.
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Ujjaini Vikram Trade Fair 2026 by lighting the lamp at Ujjain Engineering College Ground on Sunday. The Chief Minister said that Avantika, the city of Emperor Vikramaditya, is continuously making new records of development. Ujjain, the city of Baba Shri Mahakal, is progressing rapidly in the field of trade and business. This Vikram Trade Fair is being organized for the third time and this has increased economic activities in the district and surrounding areas.
Record vehicle sales and discounts in the last two years
The Chief Minister said that during the fair in the year 2024, a discount of about Rs 122 crore was given on the sale of 23,705 vehicles. Whereas in the year 2025, 36,225 vehicles were sold, on which a discount of about Rs 187 crore was given. So far this year, the Municipal Corporation has received an income of Rs 4 crore 10 lakh.
Four wheeler, two wheeler and bank stalls in the fair
This time, 139 stalls of four wheelers, 36 stalls of two wheelers, car decoration stall, Sanchi and bank stalls have been set up in Vikram Trade Fair. It was told that on a Jaguar car worth Rs 3 crore, there can be a tax saving of up to Rs 20 lakh.
Darshan of Baba Mahakal on Mahashivratri
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that on the occasion of Mahashivratri, a huge crowd of devotees is gathering to have darshan of Baba Shri Mahakal. He told that the devotees are now returning happily after having darshan in just 30 minutes. Shri Mahakal Van Mela has also been organized for the first time in Ujjain, where exhibition of forest products and health counseling is being given by Vaidyas.
Vikramotsav begins across the state
The Chief Minister said that Vikramotsav is being started by decorating the temples of Baba Shri Mahadev in the entire state. Mayor Mukesh Tatwal gave the welcome speech in the program and thanked the Chief Minister for organizing the fair. He said that last year also Ujjain Municipal Corporation had received crores of revenue from the fair.
Four wheeler keys handed over to customers
During the inauguration program, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav handed over the keys of the four wheeler vehicle to customers Lokendra Singh and Jitesh Rathore. On this occasion, information was also shared on the importance and economic impact of the trade fair.
