Mandrem (Goa) [India], May 31 (Desk): A Uganda national was arrested by the Mandrem Police in Goa for staying in the country without a valid document, the police said on Friday.
The Ugandan woman identified as Hajarah Nakanwagi (29) was staying at Arambol Pernem.
Sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Pernem Jivba Dalvi said that the woman was arrested by the Mandrem Police during routine patrolling.
According to police, The Ugandan woman had contravened Section 7(1) (3) of Foreigners Order 1948 and Section 14 of Foreigners Act 1946.
Further investigation is underway in the case. (Desk)
