The event has been planned as a sports platform for corporate employees who spend most of their working hours inside air-conditioned offices and in front of computer screens. Through this tournament, professionals from major companies will get a chance to step on court and show their sporting skills.
Big companies to take part
Employees and representatives from leading global companies such as Microsoft, Amazon and Infosys will take part in the tournament.
The first season had received a strong response from several top companies. Google, Dell, Uber, My Home, Microsoft, Infosys, Amazon, IKEA, MakeMyTrip, Times of India, ABB, Dr Reddy’s, Novartis, Schrödinger, Capgemini, Greenko, LMT and Deloitte were among the companies that participated.
More than 300 players and over 64 corporate teams took part in the first edition. The tournament saw over 1,000 matches being played. These companies are expected to return for the second season as well.
Tournament under Pullela Gopichand’s guidance
The championship will be held at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy, one of India’s most respected badminton training centres.
Padma Bhushan awardee Pullela Gopichand, who has played a major role in taking Indian badminton to the global stage, is associated with the tournament. His guidance is expected to give the event a more professional structure, with matches being conducted as per international standards.
For the participating players, playing at Gopichand’s academy will be a major motivation. For many corporate professionals, this could be a rare chance to compete at a venue linked with some of India’s biggest badminton names.

Prize money and venue details
The winners will receive trophies, special honours and a total prize money of Rs 5 lakh.
The tournament will be held from May 15 to May 17, 2026, at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
With top corporate teams, a strong venue and a three-day schedule, the second season of the TV9 Corporate Badminton Championship is expected to bring a sharp mix of office rivalry, sporting spirit and serious badminton action.
