In a heart-wrenching incident at Nathnagar railway station near Bhagalpur, a joyous family’s happiness turned into sorrow when 32-year-old SSB jawan Ujjwal Kumar Chaudhary met with a tragic death just days before his wedding.
Ujjwal, a resident of Chamarlichak in Banka district, was set to marry on November 27, but his life was cut short when he was hit by a train on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred near the Rampur Khurd railway bridge in the Madhu Sudanpur police station area, where Ujjwal’s body was discovered on the tracks. It was initially difficult for locals to identify the body, but after the police arrived, they found a mobile phone in Ujjwal’s pocket, which helped inform his family about the devastating news. His family, including his fiancée, were left in deep shock upon hearing of his untimely death.
Ujjwal’s fiancée, who was eagerly awaiting their wedding day, was inconsolable after hearing the tragic news. She insisted on seeing his face one last time, and when she arrived at the site of the accident, she was overwhelmed with grief upon seeing his lifeless body. Despite attempts to comfort her, she could not hold back her tears and cried uncontrollably at the scene.
Ujjwal, known for his friendly and cheerful nature, was the pillar of support for his family, especially after the loss of his elder brother in a road accident and the death of his mother due to illness. This tragic loss has shattered the entire family, and the joyous occasion of his wedding has now turned into a sorrowful farewell.
