Yash-starrer is witnessing a dramatic reversal of fortunes at the box office. After putting together an impressive ₹124 crore in its first five days, the Geetu Mohandas-directed action drama has suffered a massive setback with the arrival of its first Monday.
Toxic’s Sharp Decline
According to very early estimates reported by Bollywood Hungama, Toxic is expected to earn only around ₹3.25 crore to ₹3.75 crore on Day 6. If the estimates hold, the film’s domestic total will move to approximately ₹127.50 crore. The sharp decline is particularly alarming when compared with its opening day, when the Yash-led film registered a massive ₹53.50 crore.
This translates into a staggering 94 percent drop from Day 1, putting Toxic among the films to have recorded some of the steepest Monday declines in recent box-office history. For a film that began its theatrical journey on such a strong note, the speed at which collections have collapsed has left the trade particularly concerned.

Toxic’s Lifetime Prediction
What makes the situation even more surprising is the gap between the film’s opening and its projected lifetime performance in the Hindi market. Despite starting with ₹53.50 crore, Toxic is now facing a major struggle to cross even the ₹150 crore mark in Hindi. Such a trajectory points towards an extremely front-loaded theatrical run, with the initial curiosity and fan-driven rush failing to translate into sustained audience interest.
The film’s poor word of mouth appears to have played a significant role in the rapid decline. While Toxic generated considerable buzz before release and managed a strong opening, mixed-to-negative reactions seem to have affected its momentum almost immediately. The weak weekday turnout further indicates that the film has struggled to attract audiences beyond its initial fan base.
