The incident took place in Sahjanwa village. The marriage of a girl living here was fixed with a young man from Sikriganj police station area. According to the auspicious time, she was married to a young man on 21st April. According to the girl’s father, farewell is held at their place 10 days after the marriage. In this sequence, the farewell of the girl was to take place on Monday i.e. 30th April. But during this time when he went to the girl’s room, he was not found.

The girl’s father told the police that a young man named Vinay Yadav had been harassing his daughter for a long time. When he came to know about this, he fixed his daughter’s marriage. When the boy came to know about this, he became very angry and started threatening him with the consequences. Although he was scared by this threat, he did not go to the police so that the matter did not escalate further.
