Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff escaped unhurt after three motorcycle-borne assailants allegedly opened fire at his vehicle in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening. Two persons, including the actor’s driver, were reportedly injured in the incident.

According to preliminary information, the firing took place near Pushpa Park in Juhu when the 36-year-old actor was reportedly leaving a football ground.

The attackers allegedly fired several rounds towards the actor’s vehicle before fleeing on a motorcycle.

Tiger Shroff did not sustain any gunshot injuries, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg confirmed.

The actor’s driver and another person, initially identified as an autorickshaw driver, were reportedly injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility

A social media post attributed to Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu has surfaced, claiming responsibility for the firing in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The post, circulated under a Facebook profile bearing the name Anil Pandit Anmol Bishnoi, specifically refers to Tiger Shroff and claims that Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu were responsible for the incident.

It further alleges that the actor had previously been warned but had failed to heed the warning.

The message also contains threats directed at others in the Mumbai film industry, including those who allegedly disregard the group’s warnings or work with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

The post carries hashtags referring to the Lawrence Bishnoi group and several other names associated with the purported message.

However, the authenticity of the social media post and the identity of those behind it have not been independently established. Police confirmation of the gang’s involvement is awaited.

Mumbai Police Form 12 Teams

Following the shooting, Mumbai Police reportedly constituted 12 teams to identify and apprehend the attackers.

The incident falls under the jurisdiction of Juhu Police Station, while the Mumbai Crime Branch has also joined the investigation.

Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the firing, the possible motive and the social media claim of responsibility.

The police are also expected to investigate whether the attack was intended to intimidate the actor or was connected to threats directed at members of the Hindi film industry.

Who Is Tiger Shroff?

Tiger Shroff, 36, is the son of veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff.

He made his Hindi film debut with Heropanti in 2014 and subsequently established himself as an action star known for his martial arts skills, dance performances and elaborate stunts.

The firing incident has once again raised concerns about the safety of prominent Bollywood personalities amid threats purportedly issued in the name of organised criminal gangs.
