Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has shared a humorous account of his long association with his children’s school, revealing that he attended his first parent-teacher association (PTA) meeting at the age of 20 and is still visiting the same school at 55.
Saif made the revelation during an appearance on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show’ alongside his wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan. He explained that all four of his children, who are of different ages, have studied at the same school over the years.
During the conversation, Archana Puran Singh asked the couple who usually attends parent-teacher meetings.
Saif responded by joking about how long he had been making the visits. He recalled attending his first PTA meeting at 20, returning at 30 and continuing to visit the school at 55. He added that even the teachers had changed over the years.
The episode also featured anecdotes from Saif and Kareena’s relationship. Kareena revealed that Saif proposed to her three times—once in Mumbai, once in Greece and once in Paris—before she finally agreed to marry him.
Recalling the proposals, Kareena said she eventually said yes in Paris. Saif responded with a joke that had she accepted his proposal in Mumbai, he could have saved a considerable amount of money.
The couple, who were in a relationship for nearly five years, married in Mumbai on October 16, 2012. They have two sons, Taimur and Jeh.
Saif also has daughter Sara Ali Khan and son Ibrahim Ali Khan from his previous marriage to actress Amrita Singh.
