The echo of the murder of nine women one after the other in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh can be seen in the Assembly today. In Bareilly, Mirganj MLA Dr. DC Verma can raise questions on law and order by raising this matter in the Assembly. The case of murder of these 9 women, which took place in Shahi and Shergarh police station area within six months, remains a mystery to the police till now. At the same time, when the matter of raising this issue in the Assembly came to light, even the police became helpless.

Let us tell you that Dr. DC Verma, BJP MLA from Bareilly’s Mirganj Assembly, has raised a question under Rule 51 in the Assembly. Since the government in the state is also of BJP. Therefore the police has come under more pressure. In such a situation, it is important to know who were those women who were murdered and till date the police has not found any clue about the incident. The first case in this is of June 29 this year.

In this, Premwati, resident of Anandpur village of Shahi police station area, was killed. She had gone from home to collect fodder for the animals. The next day his body was found in the field. She was murdered by strangulation with a saree. In exactly the same manner, the Mahmudan massacre was carried out on 31 October. The body of Mahmudan, who lived in Lakhimpur village of Shishgarh, was also found in the field. He was strangled to death with a chunni. On November 20, a 68-year-old woman, Dularo Devi, was murdered in Kharsaini village of Shahi. Dularo’s body was also found in the field and she too was strangled with a saree.

After this, Kusum Devi, a resident of Khajuriya of Shahi police station area, was strangulated to death with a saree. However, in this case the police had arrested a drug addict and sent him to jail. Kalavati, a resident of Partapur, was murdered on June 5 in the Shahi police station area itself. Her nose and ear ornaments were missing. It was told that the crime was committed with the intention of robbery, but the pattern was the same old. This case also remains an inexplicable puzzle for the police till date. Whereas Dhanwati’s body was found in a sugarcane field in Kulcha village of Shahi police station area. In this case too, the police has not been able to proceed beyond post-mortem and securing the remains. In a similar manner, the Urmila Devi murder case was carried out in Shishgarh.
