If we talk about the ghost places of the world, then the name of Kuldhara village in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan comes first. Thousands of tourists are seen roaming in this Kuldhara village during the day, but in the evening, this Kuldhara village becomes deserted. Local people believe that it is a cursed village. Now ghosts live here, who do not allow those who stay here to stay here at night. This is the reason why this village is lying vacant.
Kuldhara village, 14 km from Jaisalmer, has been deserted for the last hundreds of years. This village is counted in the ghostly places of the country and the world. It is believed that the people of the Paliwal Brahmin community settled this village on the banks of the Saraswati river. During that time there used to be a lot of movement in this village. Hundreds of families were living comfortably on the land of Kuldhara. Suddenly this village became empty overnight. Since then it is deserted, but today the situation is such that any person is afraid of walking here at night. Even after so many years, there is no human being here. Because of this, all the houses and temples built here are turning into deserted ruins.
In the 18th century AD, there used to be a jagir or kingdom under Kuldhara Village Minister Salim Singh. Salim Singh is said to have been very cruel and harassed people. He also betrayed people. Due to additional tax collection, people started getting upset with the villagers here. It is said in the old proverbs that Salim Singh liked the daughter of the village head. After this, he threatened the villagers that if he tried to oppose him or came in his way, he would collect more tax. The head of the village left the village overnight to save the lives of his villagers and his daughter’s honor.
It is said that on the go, the villagers cursed this Kuldhara that no one will be able to live here in the coming days. The Archaeological Survey of India is responsible for the maintenance of Bhootha village Kuldhara. A large number of tourists visit here during the day. Kuldhara was spread over a very large area. There were about 85 small settlements of Paliwal Brahmins in this region. Now all the slums of the village have been broken and ruins. There is also a temple of a goddess, which has now become ruins. There is also an inscription in this village, which gives information about the people living here.
