Kia Sailtos, who competed with popular SUVs like Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara in the Indian market, will soon come with more mileage. Kia Motors is working on the second generation model of Celtose. The company has recently revealed that it is planning to launch Kia Celtose with a hybrid engine. The company revealed in the investor meat held in Seoul that it would launch several cars with hybrid and electric powertrain in the coming few years. The company’s target in India is to include 25% hybrid and 18% EV in total sales.
Kia Celtose was launched in India in 2019. Ever since the launch, Kia Seltose became popular in a very short time like SHVS like Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara. The reason for this is more demand for the compact SUV segment. Kia updated the SUV with more features and powerful engines in 2023.
How much mileage will give Kia Celtose
The report states that Kia will connect Hybrid with a 1.5-liter NA petrol engine of the existing model. Power figures have not been revealed yet. You can expect that it will give more power than the current 1.5-liter NA petrol engine. SUVs with hybrid technology may expect to improve mileage. It is expected that the Strong Hybrid model will give a mileage of more than 20-25 kmpl. Currently, Hyundai Creta’s petrol model has 16-18 km per liter and Maruti Grand Vitara Hybrid has up to 27.97 km per liter.
6-7 seater SUV is also preparing the company
The 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine is expected to be found in the new Kia Sailtose as before, however, it can be mild hybrid. But due to strict emission norms, the company may probably close the 1.5-liter diesel model. Not only this, for India, 6-7 seater SUVs are also preparing for India. It is expected that petrol hybrid powertrain can also be given. Reports suggest that there may be some changes in the design of the new generation of Kia Celtose. In this, new LED headlamps, new ORVMs and dual-tone alloy wheels can be separated.
