The reason behind this is that this year people did not reach Nainital to celebrate New Year. Usually, more crowd of people are seen on weekends than what was seen in Nainital during New Year celebrations. This time the New Year disappointed the businessmen of the city.
If the businessmen are to be believed, they say that they had pinned a lot of hopes on the New Year but this time the tourists could not come here. More people than this had come here for Christmas celebration. This year the business on New Year was very less as compared to last year. People say that this time only 40 percent of the work done on New Year was done last year, due to which there was disappointment on the faces of all the businessmen.
Businessmen associated with hotels say that only big hotels appeared full. People could not go to small hotels, hence the businessmen associated with hotels are also not looking happy for the New Year this time. The roads of Nainital also appeared empty and the traffic plan made by the police was also not implemented. Because the number of people was not as much as the administration had expected.
People reached Mussoorie not Nainital
Let us tell you that this time instead of Nainital, most of the tourists made Mussoorie their first choice. It is being told that this time there has been a huge crowd of people celebrating New Year in Mussoorie. The new essence was celebrated here with great pomp and show. After this, when people started returning to their homes on Monday, there was a several kilometer long jam on Dehradun Mussoorie Road. With great difficulty the police got the jam cleared.
