The IPL 2026 season is not proving to be good for the players in terms of fitness. Every day there are reports of some player getting injured. Many players were out even before the season started, while some were out even in the middle of the season. Some have not been able to play even a single match yet. But amid all this, there have also been incidents of some players getting injured during the match, due to which they had to leave the match midway. Something similar happened with Delhi Capitals captain Akshar Patel.
In the match against host Royal Challengers Bangalore at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Delhi captain Axar Patel had to suddenly leave the field due to injury. Axar Patel was leading for his team in response to the target of 176 runs set by Bengaluru. He was keeping the team in the competition with strong batting, but suddenly in the 16th over, he retired hurt and returned to the pavilion.
Actually, during batting, Akshar suddenly started feeling cramps, due to which the match was stopped for some time. Delhi’s medical team examined him and then he started batting again. But after this he could not last long. After taking 1 run on the 5th ball of the 16th over, he started getting worried again and this time the pain became unbearable for him. Due to this he had to retire and return. By then he had scored 26 runs in 19 balls.
