Eating hot things in summer increases the heat in the body and due to this you may have problems related to digestion like acidity, heartburn. The nature of brinjal is hot
Brinjal, a summer vegetable, has a hot nature. Thermogenic properties are found in it, which generate heat inside your body. If you eat too much of it, it may cause acidity problem. It can also cause skin rashes and rashes. If you are eating brinjal in summer then it is best to eat it roasted and it should be cooked with less oil and less spices.

Onion has a cooling effect and it is considered right to eat it raw to avoid heatstroke in summers. It also keeps digestion healthy. The taste of onion is pungent and eating too much onion can cause heat in your body. In Ayurveda, it is considered to have Tamasic and Rajasic properties, hence it controls phlegm. This is the reason why it should be eaten only in limited quantities during the summer season.
How to eat in summer?
In the scorching heat, there is a need to control the body temperature and hence one should eat such things which are cool and do not take extra energy to digest. Actually, when you eat food which is of hot nature, it increases the body heat, but if you are also eating food of cold nature, then keep in mind that it should be easy to digest. To digest heavy foods, the body has to use more energy and water is also required. In such a situation, there is not only stomach pain and acidity, but there can also be a problem of dehydration.
Do not eat such food in summer
If you want to keep your body cool in the humid hot weather, then vegetables should be cooked in such a way that they are easily digested. Fried food or very spicy items like potato fry tikki, lady finger fry etc. should be avoided. Spices like dry red chillies, black pepper, cloves etc work as thermogenic agents. These improve your blood circulation, which leads to more sweating and faster removal of water from the body in hot weather. When you fry foods in too much oil, a layer of fat is formed on it which affects your digestion and gut. Such foods should be eaten in very small quantities.
