But now teams like Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe, who have small stature in cricket, have also started giving importance to it. In this series, Zimbabwe team is now going to host Afghanistan in 2 test matches. These two matches are going to be historic.
Boxing Day Test after 28 years
Afghanistan team is going to tour Zimbabwe soon. On this tour starting from 9th December, series of all three formats i.e. T20, ODI and Test will be played. Apart from 3 T20 and 3 ODIs, Zimbabwe team will host 2 historic test matches. During this, after 28 years, Zimbabwe team will host the Boxing Day Test. Earlier in 1996, he had played the Boxing Day Test against England at his home. Not only this, Zimbabwe team is also going to host the New Year Test for the first time.
Both these matches between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will be held in Bulawayo. Zimbabwe Cricket Board has expressed eagerness to organize it. Let us tell you that both the teams have played two test matches against each other before this. Both these matches were played in Abu Dhabi and both the teams won 1-1 match. At the same time, 28 ODI and 15 T20 matches have also been played between the two teams.

Afghanistan’s tour of Zimbabwe will start with a 3-match T20 series. Then a 3-match ODI series will be played and finally a Test series will be organized. The first T20 match is to be held on 9 December, the second T20 on 11 December and the third T20 on 12 December. After this, the first ODI will be played on 15 December, second ODI on 17 December and third ODI on 19 December. All the matches of these two series will be held in Harare. Then, the first Test will be played in Bulawayo from 26 to 30 December and the second Test from 2 to 6 January.
