A shocking case of fraud has come to light in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. An old man retired from the Railways had hired a young man from his village to take care of him. The elders had great faith in the young man. But in the meantime, that young man did such a crime with them that the matter reached the police. The elderly have lost lakhs of rupees due to the misdeeds of the young man. Let us know the whole matter.
Om Prakash Rai, retired from Railways and resident of Sihori village of Nandganj police station area of Ghazipur, had kept Roshan Rai alias Golu from his own village with him. That is so that they can be helped in old age. Whenever he went to and from home or went to the bank to transact money, he would take Golu with him.
The amount was deposited in HDFC Bank
After retiring from Railways, Omprakash Rai had received lakhs of rupees as funds, which he had deposited in HDFC Bank. From there we would also withdraw money as monthly expenses. Roshan Rai, who used to accompany Omprakash Rai, was trusted by the elders with their eyes closed. Roshan would often take Om Prakash Rai’s mobile phone on the pretext of talking.
Meanwhile, Roshan transferred the money from Omprakash’s account to his own account through his mobile. He did all this through the app on his phone. Om Prakash Rai was not aware of this. Meanwhile, when Om Prakash Rai needed some money and went to the bank, he came to know that only Rs 37 were left in his account.
Police registered the case
When I got information about my account through the bank, I came to know that Roshan Rai, who was living with me, had transferred all the money to his own account. After this, they first pressurized him to return the money, on which he also promised to return the money, but when he did not return the money, he reached the police station. But despite the complaint, when no action was taken in the police station, he took the help of the court. Now after the court order, the police has registered a case against Roshan Rai. Nandganj police is investigating this matter.
