Owaisi demanded action against the culprits
He wrote that we strongly condemn the firing by the Uttar Pradesh Police on those taking peaceful precautions in Sambhal. Three youths have died in the police firing. I pray to Allah that Allah grants forgiveness to the deceased and their families are restored to their lives. Pay patience to those people. There should be an impartial investigation into this accident. Action should be taken against the officers who are responsible.
Chandrashekhar condemned the violence, said this
On the other hand, Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad said on the Sambhal violence that in India, under the Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991, which came into existence on August 15, 1947, the nature of any religious place cannot be changed. Despite this, the incident of stone pelting and subsequent police firing during the ongoing survey in district Sambhal of Uttar Pradesh resulting in the death of three people and serious injuries to others is extremely sad, condemnable and unacceptable.
He said that this incident not only exposes administrative negligence and failure of the Local Intelligence Unit (LIU), but also symbolizes gross disregard for human values and sensitivities.
He said that I have my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. We all stand with him in this sad moment. Calling the incident a “mild use of force” by the police is not only insensitive but also rubs salt on the wounds of the victims’ families.
Chandrashekhar Azad said that considering the stance of the present government, the conspiracy of hate elements in this incident cannot be ruled out. Therefore, it is mandatory to conduct a judicial inquiry into this incident and ensure that action is taken against the real accused who created such situations, so that such incidents can be avoided in future.
